Dust off those cowboy boots and celebrate the 48th annual Oakland Black Cowboy Parade, the only parade and celebration of its kind in the United States.
48th Annual Oakland Black Cowboy Parade & Festival
Saturday, October 1, 2022 | 10 am to 6 pm (Parade at 10 am)
DeFremery Park, 18th and Adeline, Oakland
FREEThis vision continues today with its annual parade and festival. People from all walks of life attend this one of a kind parade and festival which features nationwide cowboys, trick riders, schools community organizations, and local businesses.
In addition to the parade and festival, the Oakland Black Cowboy Association hosts dances, conducts speaking engagements and community events promoting the contributions of people of color to the Old West.
The Oakland Black Cowboy Association (est. 1974) has been educating about the contributions people of color made in settling the West for four decades.
