BRSF will debut on Memorial Day weekend in San Francisco, California. There will be a meet and greet with the Board members at the Church of 8 Wheels Roller Disco on Sat. May 28 from 1PM to 2:30 P.M. On Sunday, the organizers will take part in the S.F. Carnaval Parade with the Church of 8 Wheels to showcase the alliances and collaborations in the works in San Francisco for the enrichment of the roller-skating community. Meet the team at https://www.blackrollerskatingfederation.com/meet-the-team
The BRSF Board is comprised of a cadre of individuals from around the United States who are passionate about roller-skating and seek to promote and move the culture in a way that is rooted in integrity, truth and transparency. The Board will champion and showcase as well as provide integrity-based initiatives to benefit the community as a whole.
BRSF, according to their vision statement, seeks to:
“Serve as the premier advocating body of diasporic (African American, Caribbean, Afro-Latino, Afro-European, Afro-Asian and African) roller-skating to champion and enrich the community with integrity-based actions, transparency driven management, and truth and positive intention for past, present and future generations.”
In a time where many are looking for actualizing and “protecting” the culture, we are an entity that was developed for just that purpose. Fortune favors the bold!!! This is a comment that speaks to those willing to take a chance.
