Get ready for a lively retro throwback — a blacklight art show — with a contemporary artistic twist presented at 111 Minna Gallery on Friday, November 15, 2013 – 9pm ’til late.
Using a variety of mediums, Bay Area artists will showcase works that re-live or pay homage to the black light art scene of the ‘ 60s and ‘ 70s.
The event is emceed by Amy Frey, with DJs Lamont and Milestone, a Freeplay Glow in the Dark Performance, fashion contest, live painting, interactive installations, raffles and more.
The event is free, but a donation will be suggested at the door to benefit FACES SF, a non-profit that provides subsidized childcare and family and job services to San Francisco’s struggling families.
