The California Historical Society Announces:

Laura Cunningham, author of A State of Change: Forgotten Landscapes of California, for a book talk and signing.

From scouting native plants in an El Cerrito Plaza parking to observing wild grizzly bears, Cunningham spent over 20 years of biological, paleontological, and historical research to bring an all-but-forgotten world to life: California as it was before European contact.

Also: Cunningham will present a slideshow of then-and-now images of California to uncover secrets about the past, explore what our future will hold, and experience the ever-changing landscape of California. The book will be available for sale at the event.
