In celebration of the extraordinary books designed, printed, and assembled by professional book artists and educators across the country, the Pacific Center for the Book Arts (PCBA) and the SF Public Library are pleased to announce Bookworks 2011: the 14th Triennial PCBA Members Exhibition.
This Bookworks 2011 exhibition runs from June 18 through August 7, 2011, with a free reception from 2-4 pm on June 18th. Highlights include:
- letterpress
- calligraphy
- xerography
- papermaking
- hand illustration
- innovative and traditional bookbinding
- The Steven P. Corey Award for an emerging artist
- The Alastair Johnston Fine Press Award for an outstanding fine press book.
About the Group: The Pacific Center for the Book Arts
With offices located with the San Francisco Center for the Book, the Pacific Center was formed in 1980 to foster and support the new direction of book artists’ various disciplines, and to provide a vehicle and focus for education, experimentation, and communication.
