Every week on the Born Ready podcast, Bay Area theater producer Rob Ready brings a bold and unique perspective on the business and art of theater. With writer/actor Raymond Hobbs as co-host, the guys interview artists and producers, cover current events, and drink a totally reasonable amount of beer.

About Rob Ready
Rob is the artistic director of PianoFight, the marketing & business development manager at Z Space and a Canadian. He holds a BFA in Acting from NYU and regularly produces/directs and acts in shows around the Bay Area. Recently, his company PianoFight completed a $1.2 million capital campaign for its new space at 144 Taylor Street in SF. Rob is a big Giants fan, a river-float specialist, and a connoisseur of cheap beer.

About Raymond Hobbs
Ray Hobbs is a writer, actor, and comedian out of Oakland, California. He got is B.A. from UC Berkeley in English Literature, and has been a producing partner with PianoFight Productions from almost the very beginning in 2008. He co-founded the sketch comedy group Mission CTRL with some college buddies, and has appeared numerous times in the SF Sketchfest and the SF Improv Festival to name a few.

PianoFight is a full service restaurant and bar with a cabaret stage and two intimate theaters. They present New Work by New Artists, most of which is local. Shows run the gamut from world premiere plays to inventive sketch comedy, choose-your-own-adventure plays to audience-judged theater competitions, improv to variety shows, dance, live podcasts, film screenings and more.
