Come visit The Box Shop for a special Open Studios event!
The Box Shop is a collaborative maker space and studios focused on metal and industrial arts. During our Open House, we open up for the public to get to know the space, the art, and the artists that make up The Box Shop community! A number of The Box Shop artists will be present to share and talk about their art including Dana Albany and Haideen Anderson.

The Box Shop has commissioned local artists to paint over 130 murals throughout the exterior and inner yards. This is one of the largest open-air mural art exhibits in the Bay Area!

Monumental art pieces are created at The Box Shop. Some become public art installed locally and around the U.S. – such as Entwined Meadow (installed in Golden Gate Park in the winters of 2020-2022). The Box Shop is also a hub of the Burning Man arts community. Dozens of Burning Man sculptures and art cars were created at The Box Shop. See for yourself the space, the machinery, and the tools that make this art possible!
