Shake Shack is opening up a brand new Bay Area restaurant on March 5, 2023.

Shake Shack hosts its grand opening for its brand new Walnut Creek restaurant, located 1604 Mt Diablo Blvd., on March 5 at 11 am. This is Shake Shack’s second location in the East Bay and the tenth location in the greater Bay Area. The new downtown Walnut Creek Shake Shack is one of the biggest to date, offering guests two levels of ample seating options, open from 11am-10pm daily.

To celebrate opening day, the first 100 guests will receive a limited edition Shake Shack gift. Additionally, there will be a public ribbon cutting ahead of opening at 10:30 am. The restaurant will officially open its doors for service at 11 am.

The Walnut Creek menu will feature all the classics, including the ShackBurger®, crinkle-cut fries and hand-spun shakes. The Shack will also open with some exciting limited-time offers from their White Truffle Menu, such as the White Truffle Burger, White Truffle ‘Shroom Burger and White Truffle Parmesan Fries. New limited-time flavors of Shake Shack’s beloved hand-spun frozen custard shakes will also be available, featuring a Tiramisu Shake and a Dreamsicle Shake.

The Walnut Creek Shack’s menu will also star the Golden State Double, a regional menu item only available in the Bay Area. The double cheddar cheeseburger is topped with pickles and smoked garlic aioli and features 100% California grass-fed beef from Oakland-based Cream Co. Meats. Cream Co. Meats is an 100% natural whole-animal butchery and distributor for sustainable and regenerative ranches, and the only all-natural or better USDA butchery in the inner Bay Area

As part of the company’s larger mission to Stand for Something Good®, Shake Shack will be donating $1 to White Pony Express for every sandwich sold on opening day at the Walnut Creek Shack. The mission of White Pony Express is to eliminate hunger and poverty by delivering surplus food and goods to neighbors in need, with love and in the spirit of serving selflessly. White Pony Express was born out of a belief that we’re all part of one human family and when one of us moves forward, everyone does.

Skip the line with the Shack App, a mobile ordering app that lets you save time by ordering ahead. Guests can select their location, pick their food, choose a pickup time and their meal will be cooked-to-order and timed to arrival. The Walnut Creek location features a convenient outdoor pickup window.
