Event Details

LA comic Brock Wilbur is recording his second stand-up special at the Cynic Cave, the secret comedy venue in the basement of one of the last indie video rental stores in the country, Lost Weekend Video in the Mission District.

Free, but an RSVP is required. Due to extremely limited seating only the first fifty people will be admitted.

The event is free. The booze is free. Keeping with the theme of the location, the entire special will be shot on VHS and Beta tapes, copying over some of the unwanted tapes from the store. The filming, which follows up the 2012 release “Brock Wilbur: 28 Years Later,” will be directed by SF experimental video artist Patrick Wilkinson.

Brock Wilbur is a 6’7″ twenty-something white male from Los Angeles trying his best not to be part of the problem. He was raised in Kansas and tried drinking himself to death in Chicago indie bands, so the odds aren’t in his favor.
