Dancers’ Group is pleased to announce the 22nd anniversary of Bay Area Dance Week, which will run April 24-May 3, 2020.

The annual 10-day festival features over 400 hundred free events throughout the Bay Area. Take dance classes and watch free performances in a wide range of styles including Argentine tango, classical Indian, jazz, hip hop, ballet, traditional hula, fire dance, Samba, modern, Chinese classical, belly dance, aerial dance, West African, contact improvisation, and more.

Bulbfest 2019: Resilience is an outdoor dance and visual arts festival happening on May 5 at the Albany Bulb, an old shoreline construction debris landfill on San Francisco Bay with gorgeous views, unruly nature, rubble, rebar, and offbeat art.

The festival will feature more than 10 dance groups including contemporary, hip hop, tap, and ethnic styles, and many artists creating outdoor sculptures, paintings, and interactive works.

The festival’s performances and art installations will explore the resilience of nature in the face of climate change and sea level rise, as well as human resilience in the face of individual and social challenges.

With Bulbfest 2019, Love the Bulb invites participants to celebrate the urban wild space of the Albany Bulb and explore this free-spirited artpark through the site specific performances and art.
