Somewhere over the rainbow is a magical place filled with flying puppies, queer nuns, leather lions, bearded queens, and unconditional love. We just have to believe that this place exists. This exciting production blurs the lines of theatre, cabaret, drag, and burlesque; featuring a collection of San Francisco’s various vibrant cultures re-imagining the Frank L. Baum’s classic story. Come join Dorothy’s journey along the Yellow Brick Road of Self-Acceptance as they learn to break free of stigma and embrace life in full technicolor.

Serve your favorite Oz inspired looks. In addition to the show, we will have a pre-show including performances and contests. Take the Mr. Friendly oath. Come help build a world not weighed down by stigma.

The night’s events will benefit the Mr. Friendly organization, an international, yet grassroots movement to reduce stigma of HIV, encourage testing for HIV, and improve quality of life for those living with HIV in friendly ways. Together we can make the world a friendlier place!

The Boys of Bearlesque are a body-positive dance company made of bodies that don’t meet typical beauty standards; created, directed, and choreographed by International Mr. Bear 2010 JD. After a two-year residency at the historic Stonewall Inn, The Boys of Bearlesque moved west and are now entertaining in San Francisco.
