East Bay Burners are a group of Burning Man devotees who all live around the East Bay and get together monthly to talk, exchange ideas, teach, learn and have fun.
The East Bay Burner Social takes place monthly in the run-up to the festival and features a different speaker or topic of discussion each time. The group is a great way to meet new Playa friends, or if you’re a beginner, to figure out what Burning Man is all about.
The East Bay Burner Socials are family friendly (kids welcome) wheelchair accessible, and to facilitate discourse, don’t have loud music.
Veteran Burners: Learn how to hack your burn for a more relaxed and fulfilling experience.
Virgin Burners: Got your ticket to Burning Man but not quite sure what to do next? Then this is the seminar for you.
From shelters to porta potties to kids on the playa, you’ll learn about the physical and mental preparations that will make your burn more safe and comfortable; how much water to bring, how to prepare for a dust storm, getting familiar with rebar, and how to prep for the mental and emotional workout you’re bound to have.
These and other topics are up for discussion as we invite you to find out everything you wanted to know about Burning Man, but didn’t have time to ask.
