San Francisco Chronicle Outdoors Columnist Tom Stienstra invites you to relax around a campfire while he shares tales of “Searching for Bigfoot,” as part of REI Berkeley’s “Let’s Camp” series

For over 30 years, Tom Stienstra’s full-time job has been to capture and communicate the outdoor experience. To celebrate the release of the newest edition of his bestselling guidebook Moon California Camping (Avalon Travel), Stienstra will appear at two Bay Area-based Barnes & Noble stores and REI Berkeley this June. There, seasoned outdoors enthusiasts and camping novices alike can experience the best of the great outdoors in the Golden State. All events are free and open to the public. Stienstra will sign copies of his newest guidebooks and answer questions from campers and hikers about where to go to have an adventure that best suits them.
