Event Details

High definition should be left to Hollywood.

The San Francisco Media Archive will be accepting 8 mm, Super 8mm and 16 mm home and amateur films for a chance to be screened at the 9th Annual Worldwide Home Movie Day Celebration hosted by Oddball Films.

If your film is selected for the festival, the trained archivist will examine, inspect and repair your home movies. As a bonus if your film is selected, it will be transferred into a digital copy for you, free of charge.

(No word yet on what happens if your home movie doesn’t make the cut, but we’re assuming you’ll get your original film back)

Submissions can be dropped off at the media archive office from 1p-5p starting on Wednesday, September 28th. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 12.

San Francisco Media Archive (275 Capp St., SF) | Through Wednesday, October 12 | 1p-5p | FREE*
