You don’t even have to be a student to join in on this two-day extravaganza of exhibitors and student organizations, which will feature live music, a karaoke contest, a treasure hunt, free massages, martial arts demos, as well as stations where you can get makeovers, take glamour shots, sip on mocktails and much more.

A free, back-to school celebration that kicks off every fall semester, UC Berkeley’s annual “Caltopia” event is a giant community gathering where you can touch, taste and experience the latest products, services and programs from 100+ sponsors and exhibitors including Naked Juice, Sabra Hummus and Pentel Pens.

2011 Activity list

• Caltopia Facebook Sweepstakes: “Like” the Caltopia Facebook page for a chance to win $5,000 in donated prizes from their sponsors.
• Over 100 individual exhibitors
• T-Shirt Exchange: Trade in an old, slightly worn t-shirt for a brand new tee from this year’s Caltopia IX Collection. Collected t-shirts will be donated to local Bay Area Charity organizations. Limited to the first 3,500 donors at the event.
• Foursquare $5,000 Treasure Hunt: Be on the look out for exhibitors marked with a skull and crossbones.
• Liveshare Paparazzi Lounge: Have your photo taken at one of the ten themed photo stations located around the event and have your photos streamed live from the Caltopia Facebook page.
• Karaoke Lounge & Competition
• Cal Massage Relaxation Zone: Take a break, kick back and let our professionally trained massage therapists do the rest. Sign up early though, as appointments are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Beauty Bar: Sit back, relax and get pampered by the experts. Sign up early, as appointments are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis.
• Mocktail Bar: Snow cones and homemade cracker jacks never tasted so good. Come early and often.
• Graffiti Art Wall: Do the “write” thing and leave your mark on the event for the rest of the world to read!
• Sports Club Village: Intramural Sports Club representatives from 25+ campus clubs will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have, and give you free Slurpees.
• UCB Martial Arts Demonstration: The award-winning UCB Martial Arts program will be hosting live demonstrations each day from 1-2p. Seating space is limited so come early to claim your spot. Instructors from all six clubs will also be on hand all day long to give trial lessons.
