Join us for CAMINARTE, a curated art walk experience brought to you by Mission Vibrant!

Scheduled for September 14th, 2024, at 3pm, this event invites you to explore the vibrant art scene of Mission Street, led by the artist and founder of the Drawing Room , Renée DeCarlo.

GUIDED TOUR

In each edition, we will select locations for the guided walk, and this time, we will explore these seven unique locations, among more than 29 venues currently hosting art and participating in the Caminarte-Second Saturdays organized by Mission Vibrant.

1- The Drawing Room – The Annex

A vibrant, contemporary space that showcases a dynamic mix of emerging and established artists, offering a unique platform for creative expression and community engagement.

2- Abanico Coffee Roasters

Abanico will be showcasing ‘Fragmentos’ by Adriana Barrera Bonnells. The exhibition explores themes of transformation, resilience and self-discovery. A collage of stories, emotions and textures.

3 – Cafe de Olla

Cafe de Olla is featuring Alberto Rangel’s work.

Alberto Rangel is a Queer Latino artist and writer from Muscatine, Iowa. He holds a degree in Art and Art History from the University of Iowa and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Notre Dame de Namur.

His work integrates his cultural heritage and Retablos, a traditional Mexican devotional painting style.

His framed paintings will be priced at $295 each.

4- Arcana

Arcana’s “Twisted Reality” exhibition promises a compelling exploration of altered perceptions and distorted worlds. Featuring a diverse roster of five talented artists, the exhibition will showcase street artist Patrick Hofmiester’s filigree expressions, fine artists Caitlin Hackett and Jeanie’s intricate and evocative pieces, character designer Jasper imaginative creations, and local artist and curator Yamyam’s unique visions. Together, their works will create a multifaceted dialogue on the theme of reality bent and reshaped through art.
