20 artists from different corners of the Bay Area’s art scene will gather at Loakal to seize the day, or carpe diem. Each person will be given a 4′ by 8′ panel and 24 hours to complete their work from 8 am to 8 am, March 29-30, 2014.
The gallery will be open to the public all 24 hours of the painting day, so that people can engage with the artists and observe their creative process.
Live Painting: March 29, 8 am – March 30, 8 am. Come by any time to watch the artists work.
Opening Reception: April 4, 6-10 pm. With drinks, DJs, food, and free admission
Line-up: Brett Amory, Zoltron, Skinner, Jessica Hess, John Casey, Marcos LaFarga, Jet Martinez, Cannon Dill, Lauren YS, Max Kauffman, John Wentz, Eddie Colla, Ian Ross, Hueman, Nite Owl, Lisa Pisa, Chris Granillo, Reggie Warlock, Daryll Peirce and Cameron Thompson.
The following Friday, April 4, 6-10 pm, there will be an opening reception for the exhibition at Loakal with many of the artists in attendance. The artwork will be on view at Loakal through April 28.
