Will Rainbow crosswalks be coming to the Castro? Or one of the other abstract designs? Find out on Thursday.

Supervisor Wiener will be holding a press conference at the Jane Warner Plaza on Thursday March 13, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. to officially kick-off the sidewalk widening project. 

Thank you all who participated in the crosswalk design survey. Over 4,500 people responded. The results of the crosswalk survey will be unveiled at this press conference.

  • Option A: Rainbow stripes inspired by a modern art design
  • Option B: A brick design inspired by the Castro Theatre foyer paving
  • Option C: A rainbow paisley design inspired by colored bandanas
  • Option D: An abstract pattern inspired by the overhead wires on Castro St.
