Join us for the closing event of C/Change: Prototyping Just Technological Futures, an initiative by the Goethe-Institut San Francisco and Gray Area. This project aims to inspire cultural exchange and foster inclusive, forward-looking initiatives through emerging technologies. The event will bring together artists to discuss the exhibition’s themes and the role of AI, extended reality, and other technologies in creating equitable and accessible digital spaces.

Event Highlights: 

Conversation: Gain insights into the exhibition’s core themes, focusing on how digital innovation can drive cultural collaboration and social justice. Panelists include artists Jill Miller (Missing Objects Library) and Shawn Wang (Dragon’s Delusion), with Tamara Loewenstein moderating.

Networking Session: After the discussion, connect with like-minded attendees and speakers to foster meaningful exchanges around the themes explored in C/Change.

Regular Hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 11 AM to 4 PM

Extended Hours: 11 AM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, November 14, and Wednesday, November 20

About the Exhibition: 

C/Change: Prototyping Just Technological Futures presents prototypes by artists who use AI, extended reality, and blockchain to address issues like diversity, inclusion, and ecological crises. This exhibition underscores the impact of art in envisioning a more equitable digital future, with a curated selection featuring All Possible Rivers, Dragon’s Delusion, Missing Objects Library, The People’s Graphic Design Archive, and Tasting Tomorrow prototypes. Directions/Parking: The Goethe-Institut San Francisco is located in the South of Market District across from the side entrance of the SFMOMA at 657 Howard Street. Parking is available at SP+parking (201 3rd Street) and SFMTA Moscone Center Garage (255 3rd Street).

Public transportation: A 7-minute walk away is the BART and MUNI station “Montgomery”, a 5-minute walk away is the stop “Market St & Kearny St” with connections to the F line and buses 6, 7, 9 and 9R, a 3-minute walk away is “3rd St & Misson St” with bus lines 101, 130 and 150
