Celebrate Lunar New Year at Stanford Shopping Center (2023)

Stanford Shopping Center is proud to celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of the Asian American community in the Bay Area and is thrilled to welcome families, shoppers, residents and visitors to celebrate the holiday on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.

The event includes live performances, in-store celebrations, arts and craft activities and giveaways. Please see below for details:
● Lion Dance Performance: A popular event during the holiday, dragon dances are
believed to scare away evil spirits and bring in good luck into the new year. Visitors can
enjoy a special live performance from Lion Dance Me.
● Cultural Dances: In honor of the holiday, local Viet Steps students ages 3 and older will
perform a traditional, culture dance.
● Guzheng Performance: Listen China’s Spirit Music Ensemble students create music as
they play the traditional Chinese instrument – plucked zither.
● Martial Arts Performance: Enjoy a showcase of martial arts moves by students of the
Wushu Central Martial Arts Academy.
● Retailer Showcase: Get a first look at new products from participating retailers such as Amour Vert, Cuyana, Janie & Jack, Shake Shack, Tempur-Pedic and Yoga Six (new store).
