Don’t miss The Crossing at East Cut’s first annual Mardi Gras Festival and Marketplace from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 6!
In partnership with Bay Area-based nonprofits La Cocina and En2Action, the celebration will bring New Orleans to San Francisco with samba dancers, a stilt walker, and live entertainment, including a brass band playing French Quarter-inspired music. Delicious multicultural food offerings will be provided by:
– Gumbo Social
– Yes Pudding
– Sam’s Gourmet Jams
– KAYMA’s Algerian food
– The Geez Freeze
The family-friend Crossing Beer Garden will serve drink specials from Monarch Beverage Catering. Children can enjoy a colorful arts and crafts station, and everyone is invited to wear vibrant costumes, masks, and beads in celebration of the holiday.
The Crossing developed the concept of a themed community marketplace in conjunction with Bay Area-based nonprofits La Cocina and En2Action with a goal to establish a recurring marketplace, driven by community, that supports micro-entrepreneurs who often lack access to these markets. Come check out the Mardi Gras celebration and support your community on March 6!
