To celebrate the 90th birthday year of composer Terry Riley, pianist Sarah Cahill performs several of his remarkable compositions along with music composed in his honor by Sam Adams, Aya Nishina, Danny Clay and others.
Sarah Cahill is a pianist and radio host (on KALW) who has premiered new works by Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros, Roscoe Mitchell, Frederic Rzewski and many other composers. She teaches at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and is a regular pre-concert speaker at the San Francisco Symphony and at the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Sarah Cahill also serves as a Community Juror on SFPL’s Bay Beats streaming music platform.
