Chinese Historical & Cultural Project “Lunar New Year” Festival (San Jose)

Are you looking for a Free, Fun, Festive event for friends and family of all ages? 

CHCP and History Park San Jose invite you to the Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse Saturday March 14th from 11:00am – 4:00pm at the History Park, 635 Phelan Ave. San Jose.

See cultural performances of lions and dragons dancing, Chinese music, traditional Chinese and K-pop dances, martial arts interactive demonstrations and story-telling.  A master calligrapher will be demonstrating the art of Chinese Calligraphy.  Children’s hands-on make n’ take activities, games, and prizes.  Visit Hoong the Dragon and take selfies.

Have you always wanted to be part of a parade?  Here’s your opportunity to march behind the lions and dragons.  Visit the Chinese American Historical Museum to learn about the Chinese who helped shape Silicon Valley and beyond.

If you hunger for Asian food, Twisters/Rolling Duck food truck will be there to serve you.  Ride the trolley and for those with a sweet tooth, O’Brien’s Ice Cream Store serves a variety of ice cream and candy.
