A Rhodes Scholar, Ms. Hou Yifan has world-wide fame as a chess player, representing China in team and Olympic events. She is t, he only woman to regularly compete against the world’s elite in chess, and last year at a tournamen in Grenke, Germany she drew World Champion Magnus Carlsen and defeated his challenger, American Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana.
