Event Details

Child’s Play was thought of to spark the part in the artists and the viewers to see life through the eyes of a child. Not only this but to fully grasp what it means to believe in yourself and your hopes. The yearning for life seems to fade away with adulthood. People stop telling themselves that they can create, that people can dream, that people can become whatever they want.

There are so many things that keep you from being able to live life to the fullest and really set eyes on your goals. The need for greed, the need to forget with temporary distractions, blaming others for your shortcomings and getting lost in the material obsession. Part of the focus is on these issues. To really become a child again, you have to strip away the social norms and the barriers that limit you. To focus on your imagination and realize that it’s the only true reality.

Not only this, but it’s an exhibition that’s fundraising for the Prescott-Joseph Center in West Oakland.
