The African-American Shakespeare Company’s annual edition of Cinderella returns, this time celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Directed by Devin Cunningham, who also played the Prince in a former production, this anniversary production will tell the tale with an updated vibe and look. Though of course you can still count on an amazing pair of shoes, a very determined Fairy God Parent and a spirited Cinderella to drive the action.
In the words of AASC Artistic Director, L. Peter Callender “We hope this reimagined telling of our holiday tale will continue to inspire audiences of all ages to understand that beauty and confidence comes from within. Our Cinderella, with songs by Angel Eaglin, makes the holiday season a bit brighter with a message that love conquers all!
