The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park is kicking off its 1st Annual “Pier to Pier” Walk & Festival from 8 am to noon on Saturday, September 6, 2014.

The ranger-led walk begins 9:30 am. Meet behind the Maritime Museum, 890 Beach Street, at the water’s edge.

Stroll through decades of San Francisco waterfront history with a Park Ranger on this free, mile-long tour of Aquatic Park, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) Bathhouse murals and Hyde Street Pier. The walk finishes at the tip of Municipal Pier.

Participants can also visit health and resource tables, see fitness demonstrations of Hula, Zumba, and more, and enter a raffle ($5) for prizes.
