Free National Parks Weekend

Muir Woods & Yosemite – All entrance & car fees waived

Sometimes you’ve just got get away from the hustle and bustle of the city to enjoy the serenity of a national park. On certain “fee-free” days throughout 2013 enjoy  free entrance to all national parks including Muir Woods and Yosemite Park.

Yosemite park waves their usual $20 per car fee, and Muir Woods is allowing free entry and free parking.

Veteran’s Day Weekend 2013 – November 9-11

Participating California National Parks:

  • Cabrillo (Normally $5 vehicle fee and $3 entrance fee)
  • Death Valley $20, $10
  • Joshua Tree $15, $5
  • Lassen Volcanic $10, $5
  • Lava Beds $10, $5
  • Muir Woods $7
  • Pinnacles $5, $3
  • San Francisco Maritime – Always Free
  • Sequoia-Kings Canyon $20, $10
  • Whiskeytown $10, $5
  • Yosemite $20, $10

Free Entrance Days in the National Parks | 2013

  • January 21, 2013 for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • April 22-26, 2013 for National Park Week
  • August 25, 2013 for National Park Service Birthday
  • September 28, 2013 for Public Lands Day
  • November 9-11, 2013 for Veterans Day weekend

Fee waiver includes: entrance fees, commercial tour fees, and transportation entrance fees. Other fees such as reservation, camping, tours, concession and fees collected by third parties are not included unless stated otherwise.
