On Sunday, the final day of the 54th Big Book Sale, everything is $1

At the end of October, friends will fill up the Festival Pavilion Pier at Fort Mason for the 54th Big Book Sale, an iconic San Francisco tradition.

The big sale will be open to the public from October 31st, Halloween, through November 4th.

For 2018 there are over 500,000 books and media, all between $2 and $4.

On the last day, the 4th, all books will be just $1. Don’t fret about book selection. All sections will be restocked daily with new and exciting finds; there will be no shortage of great titles.

Sunday, Novemeber 4th is $1 day – all remaining books/media are $1

The multi-day event attracts people from all over the Bay Area and beyond. Mike Pincus, a book enthusiast who comes to the sale every year, donates his home library collection before the sale, and then replenishes his shelves with new books he buys.

It’s because, supporters like Mike that they are able to support the superior San Francisco Public Library and make an exceptional difference.

Categories in the sale include hundreds of cookbooks, graphic novels, literature, children’s books, science fiction, mystery, LPs and more. Hardcovers, paperbacks, 1st editions, classics and best sellers can all be found among the endless sea of stock.
