Alameda County OKs Indoor Haircuts. SF Lone Hold Out
Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know that now that Alameda County has approved indoor salons to begin opening on Friday, that San Francisco is the lone hold out among the Bay Area counties.
Because it is in the “red tier” risk level for California, the state allows San Francisco to approve the reopening of indoor salons (at limited capacity). But so far the city has only allowed outdoor salons to open, which took place on September 1st.
According to the most recent reopening timeline, San Francisco currently plans to begin allowing indoor salons and barbershops to open at the “End of September” with limited capacity.
2) Starting Friday, Sept. 4 hair salons and barbershops can operate indoors. Other limited reopenings in alignment with the State’s Purple Tier include outdoor family recreational activities, indoor malls at 25% capacity, and outdoor non-contact dance classes.
