Amazing Oakland Teacher Featured on Ellen. Gets $50,000 Donation
Funcheap first featured Peter Limata back in April, the amazing first-grade teacher from Oakland who does a live streaming storytime every day at 10:30am. He’s now back on the spotlight as a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Ellen surprised Limata of Emerson Elementary School, and he talked about how he has stayed connected with students during quarantine, and how his virtual reading sessions have become popular. Peter himself pays for a lot of things he needs for school.
To recognize his hard work and love for his students, Ellen, and her friends at Box Tops for Education helped him by not only giving him $25,000, but they also gave an additional $25,000 to his school.
