AMC May Have to Close SF Movie Theaters for Good
Sad news for moviegoers, USA Today reported that AMC, the world’s largest movie theater chain may not survive the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.
KPIX5 also reported that AMC Theatres In Emeryville and San Francisco could close permanently. The world’s largest movie theater chain warned Wednesday that it may not survive the pandemic, which has shuttered its theaters and led film studios to explore releasing more movies directly to viewers over the internet.
The company operates several theaters in the Bay Area, including AMC Bay in Emeryville, and AMC Metreon and AMC Kabuki in San Francisco.
