Amoeba Music Reopens in SF on Sept. 17
Thanks to the SF Chronicle for letting us know that Amoeba Music will reopen their San Francisco store for the first time in 6 months.
Amoeba San Francisco announced on their website and social media accounts that they are reopening on Thursday, September 17th.
COVID-19 cases in San Francisco have improved, however, cases in Alameda County are still spiking and Amoeba Berkeley will remain closed for now.
Starting September 17th, Amoeba SF will have new temporary store hours. The store will be open Thursday to Sunday between 11 am to 7 pm and will be closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The buy counter will have the same hours.
They will follow all the health and safety guidelines from the City of San Francisco, including social distancing and mandatory wearing of face coverings over the nose and mouth.
- Hand sanitizer stations will be placed at the entrance and around the store and customers must use hand sanitizer before entering the store.
- They will also have disposable gloves available for those who want them.
- They will not be checking bags at the front of the store; instead, do a visual inspection of larger bags and backpacks.
For customers who are limiting their time in public, please call the store at 415-831-1200 after they reopen on 9/17 and they can hold your items at the registers for 24 hours, or you can ask to do a phone order and they will mail them to you. No curbside pickup at this time due to the ongoing construction on Haight St. If you have any specific questions or needs, please call the store after it reopens so they can assist you.
