Face Mask Vending Machines Coming to BART

Coming soon to BART, you’ll be able to buy a face mask if you forget yours at home.

Thanks to KCBS and ALT 103.5 for letting us know that face mask vending machines are coming soon to a BART station near you.

In an interview with BART General Manager Bob Powers told KCBS Radio that  “If you’re in the BART system, it’s a given that you have to have your face mask on.”

BART Spokesperson Alicia Trost also said that “We want to be able to put some vending machines in stations just in case you forgot your mask at home”. All riders are required to wear masks on trains and platform and the agency is working to procure face mask vending machines. Listen to the full report.
