Bay Area Cult Fav “Zachary’s Pizza” Opening New East Bay Spot

Zachary’s Chicago Pizza is expanding with a new location planned for downtown Livermore. The East Bay-based chain is set to open its latest restaurant at 2470 First Street sometime this fall. The Livermore site will become the sixth location for the employee-owned company, which has steadily grown since opening its first restaurant in Oakland’s Rockridge neighborhood in 1983.

Zachary’s is known for its Chicago-style stuffed pizzas and also serves a variety of thin-crust options. Popular menu items include the spinach and mushroom stuffed pie and the classic combination of sausage, green pepper, onion, mushroom, and mozzarella. The new location is expected to offer the same menu and has applied for a Type 47 license to serve beer, wine, and spirits.
