Bay Area Man Uses “Bud Light” to Save Home from Wildfire?
Thank you SF Eater for sharing the story of a Bay Area man who claimed he saved him home from wildfires thanks to a 30-pack of Bud Light.
Chad Little from Vacaville was determined not to let his shop and home burn in the LNU Lightning Complex. When he ran out of water because the county shut off services, he allegedly turned to the only thing he had to put out the flames, a case of Bud Light.
He says he “keyed” the cans light he was shotgunning it, but used the stream to put out the flames.
“I didn’t have any water, I had one barrel with a little bit of water in it. I tried using that, but it didn’t work. I had 30 packs of Bud Light in here, and I just grabbed those.” Chad told KCRA reporter Emily Maher.
We don’t know if we actually believe this story – since Bud Light is a bascially like water anyway (according to any “real” beer drinkers) it seems awfully convenient and like a great viral story to get the company to send him a year’s supply of beer, but we love the story nonetheless.
