Bay Area Restaurants Close Outdoor Dining Due to Smoke
Thanks to SF Gate for letting us know that various Bay Area restaurants, already struggling due to COVID, have had to close outdoor dining due to smoky air.
The restaurant business was strongly hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and are using outdoor dining as they struggle to provide jobs for their employees and keep their business alive. Then California’s wildfire season came early, another unfortunate event that has forced many restaurants to close their outdoor dining due to unhealthy air quality.
SF Gate interviewed Aviation Rooftop Bar & Kitchen in Livermore, Farmers Union in San Jose, and West End Tap and Kitchen in Santa Cruz, all of whom have shut down temporarily due to smoky air.
as if things weren’t already tough enough for bay area restaurants… now some are being forced to close outdoor dining due to bad air quality from the wildfires https://t.co/7rpZTw9tlj
