Thanks to the Mercury News for letting us know that a state appeals court has held up a voter-approved plan to raise the Bay Bridge toll by $3 over six years.
The plan to raise the Bay Bridge toll $1 each year until it reached $9 in 2025 was approved as part of 2018’s Regional Measure 3, but after the first $1 raise went into effect, the plan has been stuck in the courts. The next $1 raise is scheduled to take place in 2022
Even this most recent ruling may not be the end of it. An anti-tax group is planning to appeal to the state Supreme Court
