BART Directors, Oakland City Councilmember To Hold In-Person Press Conference Condemning DA Nancy O’Malley’s Decision Not To Prosecute Officer In Oscar Grant Murder, Call For Further Action

OAKLAND, CA – BART Directors Bevan Dufty and Lateefah Simon and Oakland City Councilmember Loren Taylor will hold an in-person press conference to condemn Alameda County District Attorney Nancy O’Malley’s decision not to press charges against former BART police officer Anthony Pirone for his role in the events leading up to the death of Oscar Grant. The officials will call for further action to be taken at the highest levels of the justice system.
