The “Cheapest” Gas in the Bay Area: Where to Find $3.37/Gallon

San Francisco Bay Area average gallon of gas is now over $4, up nearly $1 from a year ago

Thanks to KRON4 for letting us know that gas prices are now averaging over $4 a gallon in the Bay Area.

According to AAA which tracks daily gas prices, the average gallon of gas in the San Francisco Bay Area is now $4.05 up from $3.92 a month ago and up nearly $1 per gallon from a year ago ($3.08).

Among the Bay Area counties, San Francisco has the most expensive average gas and Solano the “cheapest” gas, but there’s only a 15 cent average distance between the two

  • Marin – $4.05
  • Sonoma – $4.04
  • San Mateo – $4.02
  • Alameda – $3.97
  • Santa Clara – $3.97
  • Contra Costa – $3.96
  • Solano – $3.91

The “Cheapest” Gas in the Bay Area

There are still some “deals” to be had, if you can call it that. According to Gas Buddy the cheapest gas in the Bay Area is Moraga Auto Care at 1135 Moraga Way at $3.37/gallon. The cheapest gas in San Francisco is $3.59/gallon at the Gas & Shop at 1101 Junipero Serra and at Allstars at 2831 Cesar Chavez.
