This Monday marks the 56th anniversary since three Alcatraz criminals – Clarence Anglin, John Anglin and Frank Morris – escaped from America’s most notorious prison.

Themed after the infamous 1962 escape, “Alcatraz – The Breakout” is Madame Tussauds’ first escape room and just one mere mile from where it all took place – Alcatraz Island.

You’ll be locked in a cell on Alcatraz and have just 60 minutes to escape until the guards’ shift charge.

About “Alcatraz – The Breakout”:
If you’re brave enough to call in sick and attempt to break the room on the 56th anniversary of this historic event, pencil in 60 minutes. That’s all you’ll have to crack the code and solve the puzzles before the guards catch you.

The experience begins with you being locked inside a prison cell for a crime you didn’t commit. (Isn’t that what they all say?) But you’re about to get a lucky break – a sympathetic guard confides that the sinister trio is plotting their escape and suggests you do the same.

Knowing there are just 60 minutes until the guards’ shift change, there’s no time to lose. Your choice is simple: either crack the codes and become free just like the Anglin brothers and Morris or be locked away forever to die in prison.

And since it is Madame Tussauds, be on the lookout for a familiar face: vintage Clint Eastwood styled and ready to scowl at you as he prepares for his own prison-break.
