Last Day for Haircuts in San Francisco (Until 2021)
With the new shelter-in-place order starting at 10pm tonight, Sunday, December 6th is your last chance to get a legal haircut in San Francisco.
All “personal services” are required to close operations both indoors and outdoors through at least January 4, 2021 – Establishments offering personal care services including hair and nail salons, barbers, tattoo, piercing, estheticians and massage must cease operations, including both indoor and outdoor operations.
Lines were long on Saturday with wait times at some barbershops reaching 3+ hours.

You might have better luck with your local salon, but here’s what a few spots were looking like
- As of 12:30p on Sunday, wait times for Joe’s Barbershop 2150 Market St in the Castro was 252 minutes (that’s 4+hours). Open 9am to 5pm
- The Barber Collective at SoMa StrEat Food Park currently has bookings for 3pm today for specific stylists and have bookings for “any stylist” starting at 12:30pm – Open 10am to 6pm
Please note that salons will still be open in San Mateo County past Sunday as the county has not yet begun it’s stay-at-home order
