Thanks to ABC7 for letting us know that Tesla has received permission to reopen its Fremont electric car plant starting Monday, May 18th as long as Telsa adopts extra safety measures for the safety of its workers.

This comes after Elon Musk defied stay-home order to reopen Tesla over the weekend.

He tweeted, “Tesla is restarting production today against Alameda County rules. I will be on the line with everyone else.” He added that “ If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me”.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s has received more than 200 complaints about the plant reopening. Tesla employs more than 10,000 people at the Fremont plant.
