Thanks to NBC Bay Area for letting us know that a new drive-through COVID-19 testing site opens in East Oakland.

The first drive-through testing location in East Oakland opens on Monday, May 18th. Testing will be available to all community members by appointment at no charge, regardless of insurance or immigration status.

Register for a Free COVID-19 Test or call 311

Located at Allen Temple (8501 International Blvd, Oakland), testing will be available Monday through Saturday from 1 pm to 7 pm. It is recommended that if you work outside the home or are worried you might have COVID-19, get a test. Testing is free of charge and will use the Baseline COVID-19 Program platform by Verily, an Alphabet company.

Health insurance is not required. You must make an appointment in order to be tested via Verily’s Baseline COVID-19 Program.

Another East Oakland site opened earlier this month for walk-up testing, by appointment, located at  Roots Community Health Center, 9925 International Blvd.
