Free Grilled Cheese Day in SF
The award-winning GrilledCheezGuy celebrates with you on Friday, April 12, 2019 in honor of National Grilled Cheese Day.
From 11 am to 4 pm, there’s free grilled cheese sandwiches for all (one per person), plus at noon, there’s the very first Grilled Cheese Eating Contest where the winner gets free grilled cheese for a whole year.

FREE while supplies last – Learn More on FacebookPlease note, in past years, each person that said Johnny FunCheap sent them, received a free grilled cheese coupon to use on their next visit as well. We’re not sure if this will be offered again in 2019, so you could mention it and hope to be delightfully surprised. If you don’t receive anything, don’t be sad; you’re still getting free grilled cheese at the event.
- Free Classic Grilled Cheese Sandwiches from 11 am to 4 pm (with a break during the contest around noon) – One per person.
- Grilled Cheese Eating Contest at Noon – The challenge will be to eat every single grilled cheese that the Grilled Cheez Guy makes in order: Classic, Frenchy, Nacho Guyz, Mechanical Turk, etc. To enter, email at grilledcheezguy@gmail.com with the subject line: “Put it in my mouth;” and include your name, age, and a fun fact in your email. The champion gets free grilled cheese for a year (prize includes 1 per day and it’s valid only for the winner; it cannot be passed on).
Come to cheer on the competitors, plus there will be prizes, free grilled cheese, and more.
