A “Little Free Library” works like the take-a-penny, leave-a-penny dish you see at liquor stores… only with books instead.

Take a book you’d like to read, return it when you’re done and bring along any other books you’d like to contribute.

There are thousands of these all over the country, but they are just starting to pop up in San Francisco.

The latest will be in Duboce Triangle on Noe Street between Market and 15th Street at the ever-changing “noesocute” advice standRibbon cutting is Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 11am. Free balloon animals for adults and kids.
