A few times a year, the National Park Services offers Free Entrance Days in the National Parks, special fee-free days that you should take advantage of to visit parks that usually cost entrance fees.
That means all 398 National Parks are free!
Free National Park Weekend 2012
Participating California National Parks:
- Cabrillo (Normally $5 vehicle fee and $3 entrance fee)
- Death Valley $20, $10
- Joshua Tree $15, $5
- Lassen Volcanic $10, $5
- Lava Beds $10, $5
- Muir Woods $7
- Pinnacles $5, $3
- San Francisco Maritime – Always Free
- Sequoia-Kings Canyon $20, $10
- Whiskeytown $10, $5
- Yosemite $20, $10

- January 14-16 – Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend
- April 21-29 – National Park Week
