Leslie Small (She Devil Comedy Fest NYC)
Leslie Small was born and raised in the beautiful Bay Area, and is an avid meat eater despite this. She spent her formative years being awesome and doing drugs, basically the American dream. Sick of offending people on accident for free, she started doing standup comedy, where she offends people on purpose (also sometimes for free.) She has performed at SF Sketchfest and the She Devil Comedy contest in NYC, where she made it to the quarter finals. The Crime: Buying stolen property.
Chris John (Multiple DUIs)
Christopher John is America’s favorite (only) Gypsy comedian. He is a bit of an odd duck, what with his off-color jokes, unusual appearance, and corkscrew penis. Known for his lack of both inhibition and hair, Christopher’s comedy is somewhere between a Steven Wright audition reel and a manifesto taped in a cabin. But thankfully, he rarely bombs. Christopher appears on shows across California. He was recently in the Savage Henry Comedy Festival, and has performed at the Great American Music Hall and the Oakland Metro Opera House. He can also be seen riding in his horse-drawn carriage through the forest.
Butch Escobar
Butch Escobar born and raised in San Jose California has been honing his comedy skills over the past decade. He is one of the most prominent comics in the Bay Area producing and performing multiple in shows including his monthly Unfiltered Underground at the San Jose Improv.
Butch has toured all over the country with great performers including Tom Green, Doug Stanhope, Bobby Lee, and Last Comic Standing winner Felipe Esparza. He Frequents southern California and is a regular fixture at the Hollywood Improv and the world famous Comedy Store on sunset Boulevard. With comedy based on his everyday life his comedy is constantly evolving.
Carlos Rodriguez (Grand Larceny)
Sacramento Native Carlos brings a clever, silly and approachable voice to comedy. His observational humor touches beyond common daily occurrences to deep-rooted memories of his childhood, view on the simplest ideas, and the most offbeat subject matter. Carlos was voted 2013 best comic in Sacramento, he has won 2012 CSA Comedy competition, has been a finalist in SF Tommy T’s $20,000 competition, also performed in the 2014 SF Sketchfest and hand-picked to represent the San Jose Improv in the 2013 Up Next Comedy Central comic search . He is a regular at numerous comedy clubs, headlined Military bases, along with international Stages on 4 different continents (Europe, China, japan, and Australia).
Levi Jacobs (Possession)
Levi Jacobs is a Bay Area stand up comedian, bartender, and freelance writer. If forced to describe himself in five words they would be “Random, probably drunk, possibly asleep.” He currently resides in West Oakland with his pet goat Stewie, as well as several rabbits and chickens. He hopes to one day be a judge on Iron Chef America.
Stroy Moyd (Graffiti Vandilism)
Stroy Moyd’s energetic and eccentric brand of shattering assumption comedy has made him a favorite at comedy clubs and campuses across the nation. His resilience and dedication to his craft has not only made him the three time champion of the Laugh Factory’s Fresh Faces comedy competition, but also co-host of one of the hottest online radio shows, Colette Carr Pool. The show features Interscope Records’ pop superstar, Colette Carr, and Moyd as her co-host. Within one year of arriving to Hollywood, Moyd has already produced two of Los Angeles’ hottest comedy shows, the Laugh Bowl at the Laugh Factory and Young Funny Sundays at the Improv. The owner of the Laugh Factory, Jamie Masada, called Moyd “the next Redd Foxx” after winning Fresh Faces for the third and final time.
Hosted by Chris Riggins
When it comes to being on the forefront of what is hip, fresh and respectable, no place can touch the San Francisco Bay Area. Every corner is exploding with amazing art and the artist themselves all have so much talent that it can be hard to stand out. Chris Riggins has taken the art of stand up comedy and chose to stand out amongst a sea of other talented artists. From producing unique shows such as the Outdoor Comedy Club, opening for Dave Chappelle his first time on stage, to featuring and headlining at major clubs and colleges throughout the United States, the sky is truly the limit for Chris. While a unique take on growing up in the Bay Area and finding humor in the struggle are the centerpiece of Chris’ act, he is relatable to people from all walks of life. While many comics can make you laugh, few can make you reflect humorously on life experiences the way that Chris does. The Bay Area produces the greatest artists in the world and Chris solidifies that notion. Catch this up and coming comedian at your local comedy club.
