After many delays, the 2020 Major League Baseball schedule will be officially released this afternoon, July 6th at 3pm Pacific.

The shortened 60-game schedule will begin on July 23rd or July 24th. Initially fans will not be allowed in the stands.

To help minimize travel, each team will play a regionally-based schedule staying as close to the West Coast as possible featuring 40 divisional games and 20 games against interleague teams in the “West”.

This year the Giants will play only LA, San Diego, Colorado and Arizona in the National League and only Oakland, Texas, Houston, Seattle and the Los Angeles Angels in the American League. The A’s will have the same opponents.

According to CBS Sports, the Dodgers are expected to host the Giants in Los Angeles on July 23rd in a nationally-televised game on “opening day.”
