Around the Holidays, everyone wants to treat themselves to a little show, a little outing in the town, a little pizzazz. Problem is, it can get a little pricey out there.

Lucky for you, there’s help around from FunCheap where we post events everyday that are fit for small budgets. But there’s also sites Goldstar.com which offers mostly half-price tickets to the same events some are paying whole fares on. You have to sign up but it’s free to do so.

Christmas chronicles the final hours of the Christmas shopping frenzy through the eyes of a pot-dealing Santa and his partner in crime, a mall security guard, a bride-to-be deserted by her would-be fiancé and a bored mortician who’s got nothing to do while those near death hang on until Christmas Day. The fates of these characters is up to the audience, who will vote at crucial forks in the action.

“Magic at the Rex” — Three Magicians Combining Acts of Wonder, Comedy

The producers of the long-running show Absolute Magic present a three-act evening of mystery, wonderment and laughs. The larger-than-life RJ Owens blends comedy, magic and audience participation. Sebastian Boswell III accomplishes highly unusual feats and close-up specialist Adam Sachs is as nimble with his fingers as he is with his wits. Magic at the Rex puts audiences up close with all three magicians in an intimate setting reminiscent of the 1940s.
